Nestled in the middle of the Motor Valley, the Ferruccio Lamborghini Museum retraces the whole industrial history of the creative genius of Ferruccio Lamborghini, founder of the company: from the first "Carioca" tractor (1947) to the legendary cars, among which Miura, Countach, Urraco to Lamborghini Espada, the car that inspired the time machine of the movie "Back to the future" with its gull-wing doors.
The Church of San Michele Arcangelo, which dates back to the year 1000, used to belong to Countess Matilde of Canossa.
Not far from the town center, along the via Centese, rises up the beautiful Villa Beatrice, built in the second half of the sixteenth century. On the inside, many paintings decorate the walls and the ceiling with agricultural, hunting and fishing scenes. In the surrounding park, a particular tree arrangement ispired by Renaissance principles was expected to create a microclimate providing gentle breezes between all the halls of the villa. The building is property of the Argelato Municipality and is open on the occasion of events.
Malacappa is a minuscule hamlet with a particular atmosphere, as it is enclosed between the River Reno's high embankments, which embrace it sinously.
As an alternative to the provincial roads - preferred by motorbike enthusiasts - the territory offers a complex network of country roads, ideal for long excursions by bicycle, among ancient pulping basins for the elaboration of hemp, devotional columns and rows of poplars.
Wine lovers should visit the Cantina of Argelato, which has many DOC wines of the Reno area, such as Montuni, Pignoletto, the Rosso dei Bentivoglio (a strong-flavoured wine taking its name from its native land, which once belonged to the Renaissance Lords of Bologna), and the well-known sparkling Lambrusco.
In the village of Funo, there are important infrastructures, such as the Interporto and CenterGross, one of the largest wholesale outlets in Europe.
